| MR2Phil -vs- Barclaycard **FASTEST WIN EVER!!** Hey,
Thought I'd start a thread on my latest fight. Barclaycard have actually been pretty quick so far. Sent my Subject Access Request off and received statements well within the 40 day mark.
Excitably worked out that they owe me nearly £500 in charges, current outstanding balance on the card is less than £400. I offered them an easy, early settlement of the outstanding balance. I thought they might go for this as they'd realise that they're only going to end up paying the whole amount, plus interest, plus court costs etc...but, of course, back they came with their standard "Bog off" letter. Are they that stupid?! With interest and fees it'll end up over £700!! LBA went off yesterday...bring it on! Received similar letter from Egg as well so they've got one too!

| Re: MR2Phil -vs- Barclaycard No, not at the moment. That was another one of my bargaining chips...that if they didn't refund me what I was after, I would go the whole hog. They offered £140 out of £470 total. I said I'd settle at £360 and now waiting on that before court. LBA went off on Monday so a while to go yet.
With interest they could end up paying over £600, then adding court costs etc...! |

| | Site Team | Re: MR2Phil -vs- Barclaycard Hi Phil,
When claiming CI, you should include it on your POC and claim it in the Prelim and the LBA.
If you want the CI (check and see if it makes a big difference on your claim), you'd best send new Prelim and LBA. |

Prelim went off on Wednesday, rejection letter came back Friday. LBA went off on Monday, letter offering MORE than I was asking for arrived yesterday!!! Whooooooo-hoooooooo!
Yeah, I could've asked for all the interest, total would have been £611, but I was only asking for, first of all £360 for a quick settlement, then £470 in the LBA (full amount), but they offered £510.
Bonus!
Admin, please change thread title...I would advise anyone else to strike Barclaycard while they're feeling generous! Letter I used below: Barclaycard Customer Relationship Unit Barclaycard House Massey Road Stockton on Tees TS17 6EX [edited]
