Default Me and Barclay Card

Hello,

I have sent a letter off to Barclaycard as a result of some charges they made to my account when I fell into default. I can't help but feel violated!

Unfortunately my letter was not based on the template of this site as I sent it before I found this site. Mine was quite boring really but got to the point.

Anyway, I called Barclay's the other day to see if they received my letter. They hadn't but advised that sometimes the post takes a while to get to them as I'm sure it does most of us. Apparantly it gets sent off somewhere before arriving with them, (perhaps they are scanning them for charge requests) could be a conspiracy there...

The chap on the phone asked what my letter contained so I explained it was to ask for charges to be removed etc. He seemed to think I would get them back which was positive but I am not holding my breath.

My Account was sent to Debt Collection but for some reason Barclays decided I could pay them again, perhaps they missed me and the money they got from my charges.

Anyway, still no official letter from them yet but I will keep you informed in the hope that it will give more confidence for those reserved as to what to do.

Thanks

If the guy told you that you'd get your charges back, smell a rat. Of all the tough SOBs we have the displeasure to deal with on this forum, B/card have to be in the top 3 worst, IMO.

Don't let that put you off though. They may cling on to it longer, but they'll spit it out too sooner or later!!!

Yeah True, Fingers crossed anyway, he might have just been saying that to get me excited to deliver the final blow of "Terms and Conditions, blah blah blah".

I like sending out letters....

Well, something was on my side. Barclay's have removed the charges from my debt so I am now left with what I physically owed.

Another Success, Weird as my letter was nothing special. Perhaps after all the standard ones coming in mine made a nice change lol.
