Default Poll:Halifax 'losing mail'

I've noticed in a few threads and it's happened to me that the Halifax claim they haven't recieved Recorded delivery letters (and the Post Office is useless-another poll!)

Can you vote to see how many people are getting this lame excuse?

EDIT
I would setup a poll, but can't seem to.....
so if any mods could sort it I'd appreciate it.

I suggest that people use the Special Delivery Next day Service at an expensive cost of £4.10 to ensure delivery.

Hello - very interesting point you make about the Halifax losing mail. I sent them a letter asking for copies of my statements and after the 40 days I telephoned to see where they were, having had 2 letters saying it was being dealt with. The Data Protection Consultant (name withheld here to protect her integrity!) said they must be lost in the post and said she would arrange another set which would take 48 hours(!). They arrived 10 days later, but - surprise, surprise, they are not statements as requested with the details I need but a few pages of information that appears to be no use to my needs.
Back to the drawing board.............

Ehrm the poll may be up but I can't vote on it for some reason. Anyway Halifax denied receiving both my preliminary letter and LBA. So I sent them copies and a futher five days to respond. That one was sent by Special Delivery and they actually acknowledged it, outside the five days mind you. By then I had already gone down the small claims route.

Thanks for the info, I've PM'd Lueeze.

I couldn't vote either but thought it was because I was the originator.
