Default Equita again!!!!

About 6 months ago I got a parking ticket which foolishly i never paid as I disagreed with it but failed the appeals process. Anyway I receive a letter off equita on 15/3/07 stating that ANPR was operating in the area and will be looking to locate my vehicle. There was no amount on it that I owed and as I was going away thought I would deal with it when I came back. Big Mistake.
on 21/3/07 i received a letter dated 19/3/06 stating that a warrant had been issued and that I must pay £247.99 outstanding or contact the office to make suitable arrangements before the balliff calls. This is where the fun begins!!!! I rang the office literly about 10 minutes after the post came in the morning gave my balliff number only to be told that the account is now with the balliff so i would have to contact him. (Bear in mind that I had only received the letter that day and was postmarked 19/3/07 sent second class!!)
When I tried to explain to the office that I was responding to the letter I was told I had to contact the baliff and when I tried to explain she hung up on me!!!. I rang again only to be told the same thing so I took the ballifs number and gave him a ring. When I spoke to him I said I wanted to settle the account but "he didn't have any details with him and could I ring back the same time the following day 22/3/07). I thought this was a bit odd but thought nothing of it.
Wednesday 22/3 was my day off but I was up quite early. At about 7.30 a letter came through my door which was hand delivered. No knock or ring on the door just put the letter through!! This letter was dated 16/03/07 (the date was 22/03/07) and said basicly said the baliffs had called round and I should contact the office to avoid any costs. It was signed Robert Langley. It had some fees on it but the letter was a photocopy so very ilegable.
Anyway At about 930am I rang the balliff again and said I would pay the £247.99. What he said next totally shocked me. Apparantly the amount had now gone up to £307.91 because he had now become involved. I disputed this amount and explained that I only got the letter yesterday and the amount was £247.99 but the office wouldn't let me pay. I also enquired about the letter I received hand delivered at 7.30. The balliff said he would ring the office and get back to me as he was sure the amount was £307.91 and doesnt understand where I got the other figure from. I gave him my mobile number and waited for a call which never came!!
Infact the next bit was unbelivable!!! About 2 hours later the door bell rang once. By the time I had got to the door about 1 minute later another letter had come through the door. This letter was a warrant of execution, with the new figure of £307.91 on it but it wasn't signed and the funniest thing of all it was dated the 23/3/07 (the date was 22/03/07) Now in my book that is very clever to send a letter a day before its dated!!!
Anyway I have scanned this on my pc and sent an email to myself and a few others with it on because it clearly states the date was 22/3 yet the warrant was dated 23/3 ( a whole day too early)
The balliff never got back to me at all but I decided to pay the £247.99 online. I have got a receipt which i have printed out.
I dont know what you all think but this company is a joke. I will contest the other £60 and am seeking legal advise as these bullies are getting away with nothing more than extortion.

Default Re: Equita again!!!!

Can i just ask you, where was your first letter from equita for either £138.16 or £168.16. Your fine should either be £125 or £155 plus a letter fee of £11.20 plus VAT. You should have received this, if after 7 days you have not responded it should then be passed onto the bailiff.

Keep all your correspondance, write to equita and also copying to the court the bailiff had his certificate issued at and also to the local authority.
