Default Bailiffs Bluff

Over the last few months I have had a couple of letters from my local court informing me that if I did not pay X amount before X date the bailiffs and porters (along with their van) would be around to my house (my dads house I should really say) to take away my stuff which will be sold at auction.

The date came and went. Then I get another letter from the court with another date for when the "Removals Van" had been booked to attend my home. This date came and went as well. No show on both dates.

All debt is credit card/bank loans (CCJ's)

Is this all just bluff or will the turn up one day.

I have lots of debt and plan to go bankcorrupt vsoon, but still in the process of saving the £300+ court fee.

These bailiffs will be from your local County Court. Without any doubt, these bailiffs are by and large very easy to deal with.

If you cannot pay these debts, it would be far simpler to apply to the court for a form to be sent to you to vary the judgement and suspend enforcement.

You wil need to complete details of your Income & Expenditure and the court can set an affordable level of repayment.

The Court fee for this is £35, but if you are receiving certain benefits you can apply for exemption from paying this fee.

Yep these are court bailiffs who are normally ex-police or ex-service over the age of 50 who want to top their pension up. The pay is around £14,000 a year for this job.

As agreed with herbie, just follow the procedures.
