are you saying you know what the debt is about & you accept it firstly?

that will decide which way to go.

if you do know about it how come you let it go this far?

they might except a regular payment, but unlikely a 'token' without guarantee of when the rest.

Write to the council enclosing a copy of your incomesupport/job seekers allowance notification form and that should put an end to the bailiff side. You could also personally go to the council office and hand the paperwork in. They will then make a deduction of £2.90 direct from your benefit.

go down council and inform them your on bennefits and show them proof if you have it. remind them that bailiffs arent supposed to be used against people on bennefits and dont take any crap off them. bailiffs are supposed to pass it back to the council once they have been informed that some ones on bennefits and told to do so. try not to worry and dont let bailiff in to your property.

I offered a token payment to the bailiffs, since they have rang me and refused, they threatened me with imprisonment (the amounts owed are £74.85 and £170.15). Such a rude lady, when i stated i was on benefits and they could not pursue me the tart on the phone said "dont get clever with me miss *******...puh!!! the cheek of it, i told her that whatever she had to say i wanted it in writing because she had no right calling me and being disrespectful....so anyway what shall i do?? make an offer of payment again and just try to pay them, even if they refuse?

HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE
