The Magistrate Court Distress Warrant expires after 180 days.

If you were unaware of the proceedings etc you can file a very simple Statutory Declaration to have this set aside.

Further details will be needed from you before I can advise further.

Sorry, yes many bailiffs work on Saturday as they can normally find the homeowner at home.

just an update.....the guy left a piece of cardboard wedged in my front door asking about a car that's outside making out he was interested in buying it.......like i'm that stupid!!

He's just come back and seen the cardboard has gone and stormed up to the front door looking very unhappy......oh well I think he's not happy now

Call the police and say you have an intruder if he comes back again. Don't say he's a bailiff, say somebody is trying to attack you and your car.... that should put the wind up his sails.

Thanks for that, not worried as a) I "sold" the car this morning to a large, nasty ex-servicemen mate of mine b) theres 4 other blokes in the house (shared house) and c) I videotaped the bloke all the time

times must be hard tho... he's driving a 12 year old escort van and has to take a friend with him!

Will check monday if possible when the warrant was issued

The car he's sniffing around has a dead engine and has been standing for almost 2 years! (and a damn good tracker system which has just been re-activated for some reason!)
