parking fine escalated.

Hi all,
Any advice given on this would be most welcome. My nephew has just received a letter from a bailiff via his ex, at her address saying that an initial parking fine of £50 is now with the bailiffs and is now £395. He doesn't remember receiving a letter from them (although his ex may have got a letter for him and not passed it on). He no longer lives at the address. The thing is, no breakdown has been left of the costs incurred. To his knowledge he has had one letter (last week) and the one visit. Is the amount the bailiff is asking for excessive? Also he has told my nephew's ex that she must prove that all the goods in her home are hers and not his. He moved out months ago. Does she have to prove they are her goods? She now lives there alone with her 2 young kids and is absolutely terrified. Thanks in advance!!

Seems he may have been charged for 2 visits and an ATR.

The person who lives at the address has nothing to worry about as the person who has the fine no longer resides at the address. Just show the bailiff proof of residence. If your not happy then send a copy of utility bills, etc to the company in question.
