Trying to clear debts but....

I have buried my head in the sand for too long and decided that today was the day I was gonna get my life back on track!

I phoned one of my debtors who told me they couldn't arrange anything as the bailiffs had been called in and they would need to be paid in full I do not have £470 he said I could pay £235 this week and £235 next week another insummountable amount. I had phoned to come to some arrangement and thought I was being responsible (all be it took some time) but they are insistent on sending the bailiffs what can I do

Then pop over to the forum just above this one as they are debt collectors and do not have any rights in the way that bailiffs do - you will get a ton of advice over there.
