Default Court order,wrong name

hi.Got this kind of question that was caught travelling with no ticket on a bus and they sent me a court date that I should have attended.Anyways the name on the letter was wrongly spellt, they dont have my date of birth or any other information about who Im.So decided to ignore the whole thing.
Well now Ive received few other letters that I havent even opened and was wondering that can they send someone to my home or something even they cant prove that I was the person? And how do these things usually go?By the way live in London...
Thanks

The court can use the so-called slip rule to make minor amendments in a defendants name or address. Not enough to throw the case out I'm afraid.

If someone knocks your door asking for you by name, but you don't recognise them, the 1st thing you say is what address are you looking for? That throws a warrant officer and you don't need to admit your name to any unsolicited door-caller unless it's a uniformed police officer.

ANYONE can find who lives at a particular address by consulting an Electoral register (and most libraries have them)

The inspector on a bus or on a train should have the means to check your details on the spot, as to your name, address and date of birth. They should ask you to provide ID.

If you turn up to court and then fined, you will be asked to provide your details along with contact numbers, National Insurance Number and details of where you work.
