A little problem - delay in court action

Hiya, I'm helping friend reclaim charges from the A&L. We have a problem tho. We have done the letter before action and was due to submit the money claim on the 7th Feb - after the 14 days.

Friend lives about 150 miles away from me, with no net access. He sent me the list of charges as got using the data protection act, but sent the originals, in an A4 envelope using just a standard 1st class stamp! I have been waiting and waiting for it to turn up at the sorting office and have been down there about 3 times now, but it seems to be gone.


All he has now at his home is statements with about half of the charges detailed that he wanted to claim.

What can we now do? Are we too late to make a claim - should we wait further in the hope that the letter will arrive, or should we go ahead on the charge details that we have?

Any advice gratefully received.

Thats a shame.
You must have some sort of spreadsheet of the charges, the one you sent with your letters?
Your claim isn't over, its just going to be a bit late thats all, dont panic.
I would advise sending off another data request right away if you dont have the charges details, its only a tenner after all. If the others turn up then its no great loss.
