Default Wibble vs Alliance and Leicester

Hi all,

I'm just starting out on this venture to reclaim years of bank charges from the A&L. Can I float a few questions for the forum to look at. I've read through the FAQs but want the opinion of you guys....

When sending the first letter is it best to attach a spreadsheet outlining the charges I require repaying or should a copy of the statement with highlighted areas be enclosed?

If I am missing approx 16 statements over the 6 years should I ask the A&L for the full six years worth, the missing 18 or just "guesstimate" the amount working on an average?

If my joint account (closed for a while now) has charges I wish to reclaim should I bundle the two claims together or start a separate claim for this?

When do you add the interest, is this an easy equation to work out? I've had a look at the spreadsheet from the FAQs but I'm a little "formulaphobic"!!!

Thanks in advance for your help.

So shall I?

I mean attach the spreadsheet or copies of statements?

Guesstimate?

Bundle the 2 claims or separate

I've done the spreadsheet with interest and it is indeed very attractive WITH but should without be the way to go in the first instance

I thanking again but no-ones a-listening!!

wibble you have cant guesstimate, if you go to vampiress chambers on google theres a link on this site there is a spreadsheet you can download to fill all ya charges in its very straightforward. as your account is closed i would keep the claims seperate.
when you send yor initial letter asking for ya charges back include a spreadsheet of your charges, you cannot ask for the 8% interest back at this stage ONLY add this on when you issue MCOL.

they will prob ignore ya letter or send the standard BOGOFF letter keep to your deadlines dont be tempted to send things off earlier.

if you need any more help to can send me a message i will answer it eventually!! im ususally on here every other day!!!!

GAME ON!!!

I've just sorted the spreadsheet out, works out at £3782.50 plus £786.36 total £4568.86. Am sending the letter tomorrow, wish me luck, the next 14 days had better hurry up as I'm now looking forward to the next stage.

Oh, and I haven't added the interest to the letter just yet, I'm saving that little shocker for later....
