Default Help needed v Alliance and Leicester

Hi all...

A and L are being real buggers...

I sent my first letter on the 18 Oct 07 recorded asking for all the details they hold for me etc and a £10 cheque...

They send me back 5 months worth of bank statements only... Now i know i had a loan with them back in 2005 and i clearly stated i wanted information on this... The only problem was i did not have any reference number or anything like that... However, i enclosed the 3 addresses that i had been living at which should have been enough for them to send me the information that i require...

After receiving the bank statements only i sent them another letter on 06Dec 07 asking yet again for ALL the information they hold on me including details on the loan, i have yet still yet received what i am after which is obviusoly details of the loan and all the PPI that i had to pay... Unfortunately i dont have any of this info so until i get it i cannot process with the PPI claim...

I am right in thinking that they had 40 days after i sent my original letter to provide me with all the information they hold on me???

What shall i do now, who do i address the complaint too???

All help appreciated!!!

That's next Thursday!!

Assuming they have now passed the 40 days, give the Information Commissioners Office a ring. They may ask you to make a formal complaint - or may suggest an alternative, but they are the best people to start with.
