OD charge Query

Hi, I am just about to put in a new claim to A&L. Can someone please let me know if I can claim the Monthly OD charges? Before I had an overdraft, the charge was £8, after taking an overdraft out I now pay £5 monthly. Thanks.

In the FAQ section and step by step instruction there is a guide as to what you can reclaim

In general this is the principle I based my claim on - all charges for bouncing DD and cheques and the daily charges for exceeding OD i claimed ( all the £25.00 and £34.00 ones) The £5.00 per month is a serivice charge and I did not claim this unless there was an odd occaion when it was more ( I found one at £29.50) so I deducted the £5.00 and claimed the rest. So the basic rule I used is that a service charge is not a penalty and should not be claimed.

Hi

No you can't claim the amount of £5 or £8 that they charge for that. It's the larger ones for £30 / £35 that is the penalty.
