Hi all,

After receiving bank charges on three accounts with the A&L for over 5 years, I eventually decided to claim them back after hearing so much press of others doing it recently.

However i have received two letters from the Banks solicitors and Im starting to feel that my "boat may not be completely waterproof"

The details are as follows:

Account #1
charges totalling £1350 ish
interest totalling nearly £300

Account #2
charges totalling £770 ish
interest totalling over £100

Account #3
charges totalling £350ish
interest totalling nearly £50

After playing letter table tennis with them and them refusing any offer and stating that the charges are legit etc. etc. I decided to go to the HMCS Money Claim Online path.

I have completed a seperate claim for each account and I have received a solictors letter just relating to 1 claim number,

Question - Does this mean that Alliance and leicester are only defending a fraction of all its claims?.

Having read through a number of these forums it seems that i may have not given enough information on the original claim form........... What shouild i do now?

If there is anyone out the who can help...........

The A-team don't appear in the yellow pages any more.....

Ive also bought the book ..Small Claims Procedure: A Practical Guide ...............wish i bought it before i kicked off with the claim.............. dooh!

Again if there is anyone at the same stage and has something to add please reply and help me feel more sure Im going to get my money back.......

Hi all again,

I have just phoned the MCOL helpline (0845 601 5935) and been told that because the Bank has offered a defence for one of my claims then this is automatically delayed until the OFT Test case has been concluded.

I then asked if, as I have not received anything regarding the other two claims, will they "STAY" these claims as well and she told me that the bank still has until the 3 September to reply. If they do reply then these cases will automatically be stayed like the first one ...........great .................on the bus ..................off the bus.

Yes I heard all MCOl claims were automatically stayed. I am not quite sure whether you can appeal in the normal way N244 form?

Would have to read up around the site

Jan
