Default lancasterchelsea v. A&L very old Atlantic Visa card

The story so far......

1) had Alliance and Leicester Atlantic Visa card from 1991 to 1999, then defaulted owing £2,800.... interest stopped
2) over the next 8 years went through every debt collector in Christendom
3) finally paid off in March 2007 (great rejoicing in the land)
4) now claiming £1000 in charges and CI during normal payment period up to 1999..... later will apply for 8% since 1999....... OR could go for CI right up to present time (consequential loss, I still had other cards which I could not pay off)
5) first letter to Carlton Park, Leicester..... reply said I should contact MBNA
6) lba to Carlton Park.... reply again said I should contact MBNA
7) phoned Bootle and told write to Corporate Charging Dept Bootle ..."they are handling all these claims"

My contract was always with A&L Bootle..... MBNA were never involved pre 2003 (as I understand)

I am happy dealing with 1980 Limitations Act..... I have 12 claims in total pre 2001

Do I plough on writing to Leicester...... the MCOL is due on 16th August
I have all my statements since 1991 (in loft ...how sad is that)

Default Re: lancasterchelsea v. A&L very old Atlantic Visa card

A body blow..........

i filled in poc with all the limitations act section 32 provisions...
deliberately concealed... etc etc. then send off AQ etc

the judge has now struck out the claim... "statute barred" which i assume refers to being older than 6 years..... I didn't even get to court
It seems to cost more and more to claim with less and less chance of succeeding
Any ideas anybody ???????
