Settled today - are they really gonna close

It was just for £50, but it’s the principle. It was my first “offence” and they were not sympathetic… And I am using the account a lot... In this respect Barclays are better, they waved the charge in a couple of occasions.

I had also made a mistake leaving XXXX rather than the actual date where I had opened the account in the moneyclaim form... It didn't matter.

“As it is clear that you do not accept the terms and conditions for the operation of your account we will shortly be contacting you to discuss its future operation”.
Uh-oh! I am scared!!

One question: they sent me a £80 cheque, is it because of the expenses I've endured when executing the claim.

Looking at all the threads, I would say yes they are going to close your account and yes the £30 would be to cover your moneyclaim expense

Hope you have a parachute account because A&L will close your account now it has gone this far.

Why not get in first StarX, and close the account yourself?
