Default moomoo1 v A&L **WON**

"....have a contract with the defendant bank dated XXXX and which is conducted on their standard terms and conditions."
Is the date of my contract from when I opened my account? How exact does it have to be?
Let me know and I will make sure I keep in touch about their responses to help those following up behind in the system....

Hi and welcome,

You need to read through the site carefully. There is a step-by-step approach to claiming charges in the FAQ section. Take a good look through the libraries too and familiarise yourself with the site.

I wouldn't worry too much about the date. You could just say "since the early part of 1994", or "since February 1994"

Good luck

Thumbs up moomoo1 v A&L

Received a cheque for £440 from A&L yesterday saying they had reviewed my case after acknowledging online claim and had decided to pay up - although they said that didn't mean they were admitting liability.
Said they would contact me to discuss my account as it was clear that I did not accept their terms and conditions. They haven't tried to close the account yet. As someone else suggested on this forum, I will write back saying I am willing to discuss any legal conditions on my account.
Will now move on to trying to get money back from HSBC.
To all those who are thinking about starting the claimback process or who are in the middle of it then stick with it, it is worth it.... Power to the people.

Hi Dean

You need to read the FAQ's and step by step instructions. The online form would be the Moneyclaim Online form, but there a number of other steps you need to take before you can take the legal action that moomoo did. It takes a few days reading to get your head round it all. Also start your own thread then we can follow your progress and try and answer any questions that aren't covered elsewhere.

Good luck with it.

And moomoo. Congratulations!!
