Jus so you have an idea of timescales, after 14 days odd you may get a letter asking for a breakdown of your charges, which you can just send off your spreadsheet to the solicitors.overall you probably have 32 days until you get a 50% offer from the abbey solicitors.

As you know thats where I'm up to !

fingers crossed for you x

Received a Notice of Issue from Northampton County Court on Saturday. Says the court sent the claim to the defendant 1st class post on 16th June and so will be deemed served on 21st June. Abbey have until 5th July to reply.

Can't wait !

Hi guys,

Got my letter from DLA yesterday, word-for-word copy of everyone elses letter.

I'm going to reply to them giving them "particularisation" of the charges on my accounts and also want to list the interest I am claiming as well (not the S.69 interest but interest charged in respect of the charges, if this makes sense !!).

My question is, do I charge 8% s.69 interest on this interest? I have copied and pasted the info. from the Excel sheets to show the charges, date incurred and the 8% interest added - do I do the same with the interest I am claiming ?

Sorry if this post is confusing, I've read it back to myself and even I don't know what I'm talking about

Thanks to anyone who can understand my drivel

Janey

Hi Janey

Yes you would charge interest on your total amount you are claiming for - charges, overdraft interest etc.

If you use the excel spreadsheet or online calc a printout of this should suffice - you would have used this to work out your amounts for the claim ??

so from the above your totals at the bottom of your spreadsheet should add up to -
claimed charges and interest 1074.18
s.69 interest £271.92

Just so you can double check its correct on the spreadsheet

Hi karnevil,

Yes thanks, I copied and pasted my spreadsheet calcs. into the letter I posted/e-mailed to DLA Piper. I also put something like "I am surprised Abbey have not furnished you with material facts themselves seeing as they have requested you to act on their behalf. However, as a gesture of goodwill () , I have fully itemised my claim herewith ...."

I hope they don't think I was being sarcastic

Fantastic

Do you think that once we have say 200 sucessful claims against Abbey we should go to the press and have them list them all out in print, that would certainly make Joe Public think about how the banks have treated us all

Just looked on Moneyclaim and apparently:

You are unable to take any further action online on this claim. The Defendant disputes the whole amount you have claimed. Your claim cannot proceed online and will be transferred to the appropriate court for continuation. You will receive confirmation to where the claim has been transferred to shortly.

I can hear the pay-out going up daily
