| Re: Ive got this far now what? But feel like giving up First thing you need to do hayz is relax, dont worry it really isnt as bad as you think, and as i keep saying everyone is here to help you along your way, have a read of THIS it explains what you need to do and when, read keep reading it until you understand the process as it will help you later on in your claim, keep your thread updated with progress of what you do, and what you receive and you will receive guidance as to the next step to take.
Dont give in to any of their tactics, you are in charge of this, and you will get your money back if you keep going, its a long road, there is no quick fix, but it will be a journey worth travelling.
Any advice you need just ask and we will help.
Best of luck

Hi Hayz!!!! Click this link for an on-line N1 form as its easier than handwriting it, only thing is you cant save it so once you've started it you have to finish it, then print 3 copies of it off!! One for you, one for Abbey and one for the court (its easy to fill in as all the info on that page tells you how to do it!) http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/c...ms/n1_0102.pdf
Can i just say that even tho im in the middle of the court process now myself im still terrified and cannot for the life of me get my head round it all, but thanx to all my "new friends" on here im getting there (and driving them mad in the process)! Please dont give up and ask as many stupid questions as you can, if i can get this far then YOU can!!
Look at my thread if you want and see how much i've struggled and still am to be honest with you!! Im Scared.....helppppppppp
Just shout and we'll all hear you!!!

you keep asking the questions and we'll keep answering them for you...................... ..the more you ask, the more you understand, and the more confident you become. And eventually you feel sufficiently confident to help other people.
The thing I would say, as Michael said, don't try and read too far ahead of yourself or else it becomes even more confusing and frightening.
Put this link in your favorites,it's a godsend http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...tml#post436526
and MCOL stands for Money Claim Online. Don't use it, use the N1 version same as bonnie said............it is so much better it's unreal.
and finally.................. you can't read every thread on here,so choose a few that seem similar to your own and follow them, especially if they're a little bit ahead of you in the process,it helps you undersrtand and gives you an idea what to expect next.

| Re: Ive got this far now what? But feel like giving up Hi there,
The only way to go is one step at a time and you will do it. Its really daunting if you look at all the stages at once. What I do is address the stage Im at, do whats needed for that (with the help of CAG members) and in the time required for the next stage read up on just that stage. Ie a step at a time. And before you know it you will be laughing all the way down the aisle. Its not easy money but its yours and its worth it, you will gain friends and knowledge on the way - promise. FFx

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Ive got this far now what? But feel like giving up Ahh ha manage to sort the above out
however what do I put in the amount section 5c
c) The claimant claims interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at the rate of 8% a year, from [date when the money became owed to you] to [the date you are issuing the claim] of £ [amount] and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment or earlier payment at a daily rate of [enter the daily rate of interest] is it the amount referring to the total of my claim or the interest at 8% on my claim? How do I work that out please. would I have to work out what I was owed each year and do 8% on that? or just 8% on the total and then would I x that by 6years? if I make sense. |

| Re: Ive got this far now what? But feel like giving up Use the simple spreadsheet in here to calculate your charges, it automatically calculates the 8% for you on each charge. Then in the N1 you separate the charges, the OD interest(if claimed) , then c) the 8% interest as a figure and the daily rate is your charges + OD interest (if claimed) x £0.00022p. 6. Interest calculation spreadsheets
The speadsheet looks complicated but once you get the hang it's really simple and it will automatically calculate the interest on a daily basis, If you view the spready after you've filled it in, save changes when you close it and the new s69 interest is saved for you.
Stick with it, it's a bit of a battle but they do settle. I've got my offer of settlement for the full amount this morning.
Good luck |

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Ive got this far now what? But feel like giving up Use the Simple S/S here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...eadsheets.html
See here for a visual guide: Maisielou v Barclays - SETTLED!!
When entering your charges, don’t delete anything first. Just overwrite the existing examples: type of charge, amount and date.
If you have deleted any of the existing examples, you may have deleted some of the s/s formula , so it may be better to start again with a new s/s
The ‘Days Since’ and ‘8% Interest’ columns will be calculated automatically
Save it and print out as your schedule of charges
