Default What's with Abbey this week?

There seems to be loads of claims settled by Abbey this last few days. One or two have commented on it, but does anyone have any idea why?

I have been thinking the same thing ...

I had my claimed settled today for just under £4,000! It's great when you receive that email/letter!

They must be so stressed out with the thousands of claims going through at the moment, good I'm glad, they've certainly caused me enough stress over the years! Having said that, I did receive a very pleasant email from Inga so this is not personal to her.

Fingers crossed loads more get settled next week!

Keep going guys, you'll get there in the end!!

well done . I'll be honest, I hadn't seen your thread but I'll have a read.

I just wonder if anyone think it could be a significant change of policy or am I just clutching at straws?

i think they are clearing a backlog so they can defend others properly.... or mebeeee, they have someone watching these boards and settling any that are on here as they know we will get all the money plus costs so sheaper to settle now.

Maybee they have too much on and are forgetting to appear in court to many times

I don't like the sound of them clearing the boards so they can defend others properly . I'm some way away yet and know there's plenty of sleepless nights to go.

i think that they are getting claims coming thick and fast atm, so havent got time to defend, they dont realise that the momentum is going to get stronger, you will be fine! And you are in the best place by being on CAG to thwarte their pathetic efforts. Bear with it, you WILL get all your pennies back!

I hope so. I'm determined enough. It's just all the complications I've had hardly mean that it's been textbook in getting as far as it has.

Well done. I just had a read of the latter stages (always the best bit!)

My other fear is that my Court (Central London CC) just happens to be 100 yards from Triton House! They wouldn't dream of sending a team down on their lunch break the day I'm due in court would they?

Nah, don't worry about that. The barristers they would have to employ won't be in-house anyway, only the solicitors.
