Court Date Early July - Should I Contact Abbey to Start Negotiations

I have a court date early July. Having read quite a few other posts I've noticed that other people have e-mailed Abbey (I think direct to a person calle Inga) to start negotiotions.

Does anyone have any advised as to whether I should do this or should I just sit tight and wait for them to get in touch with me?

I haven't spoken to anyone directly there - just via the post. The last thing I sent to them was a copy of the court bundle.

i am not at the same stage as you, i am passing over my N1 form next week.i am certainly thinking on the same lines as you. i think if you try to come to settlement with the bank , even if they tell you to go forth and multiply you can show the bank that you have tried.
how about this letter found in the templates.
Dear xxxxxxx,

I am mindful of the vast number of claims with which you are currently dealing with, therefore, in order to more speedily resolve this matter, I am willing to accept the sum of £xxxxxxx. I do not agree to waive my rights in respect of any other actions, nor do I agree to a clause of confidentiality.

I hope to hear from you very soon so that a reasonable conclusion to this claim might be achieved. I am sure that the courts would approve of our settling this matter in a timely manner and without their further intervention.

For your records, I enclose another copy of my schedule of charges.
