Default 28 Days from Service & the Bank Holiday

Well yesterday was the 28 days from the date of service for the banks to file their defence.

As the court office closed at 4pm on Friday - I phoned them to see if they had received any form of defence. At the time, not a single one of my 3 cases had sent their defence in.

Now given that the court office is now closed until Wednesday 30th April - and they didn't have any un processed mail when they shut - whats the chances of the banks of being able to get their defence submitted ?

I took the advice of the clerk of the courts and got my forms completed and shoved through their letterbox - but I'm just wondering how the banks will be able to sneak their defence in.

Just seems strange - all the banks said they were going to defend : but not a single one has made an offer / made contact in any way - and surely ALL of them can't be waiting to the very last second to fax in a defence ?!??!

its possible and unfortunately they could even get away with being a few days late. however it does all go in your favour and you might just get lucky
