Question Kelvyn vs Abbey, stumbling block already...

I sent off letter with £10 cheque requesting all details using template,

' Under the Data Protection Act 1984 and 1998, and including the right of subject access under these acts, please supply me with a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my bank account since 01 January 2000. Alternatively a complete set of bank statements for that period will be acceptable.

Additionally where there has been any event in my account history over this period which has required manual intervention by any member of your staff or any other person, I require disclosure of any indication or notes which have either caused or resulted in that manual intervention or other evidence of that manual intervention in relation to my banking business with you.' blah, blah etc...

On 16th April

The bank have returned to me (on or about may 13th) only statements going back to Jan 2006.

Where do I stand now? Clearly, I need to send a follow-up letter (I have waited a over week to see if anything else was to arrive in another package) however, I'm unsure as to how to word it.

I had the same problem with Abbey, they only hold upto your past 2 years statements anything beyond this is stored on microfiche, it took them a further 4 weeks to supply me with this information due to it being archived.
Give them a call or send a follow up letter asking them to confirm the information will be sent to you and that it is to be supplied within the 28 days from your initial request.

Go in to the Bank template library then scroll down to Data Protection Act non compliance template letter.

This is what I sent them.
