Question Data Protection Act letter sent Again!!

Hi Everyone,

My original post has been archived, so decided to start again.

We sent our letter on the 15/3/06 and as yet have had no reply from the Shabbey. I did make the mistake of not enclosing payment, so understandable.

We will start the process again with another letter and payment.

Does anyone know who to make the cheque payable to and the best address to use as the first went to prescot street.

There isn't a second letter on the site, no.

I personally wouldn't bother with a 2nd letter, not for a Data Protection Act request. It might be worth giving them a wee phone call to remind them the clock is ticking...

Hi Everyone, I have only recieved 1 years worth of statements, march 05 to april 06, from abbey and the deadline runs out next Monday, 15th, added that lot up and came to just under £1100. Any advice on what to do about the remaining years.

Hi Folks,
The story continues. Tried to phone customer services got nowhere, then sent an e-mail through their contact us section on wednesday. I got a reply today saying call us to confirm who you are, so got them to phone me. Started by say that I had to pay for the statements, Sent the cheque with the letter, pulled them up on that one, then transferred to another department. They said that we only have 1 year available the rest on micro fiche and will take 3/4 weeks to be sent out in yearly batches.

clock stops on Monday should I start to get the letter to the Information Commisioner ready ?

Update.

Hi, Sent template 2 of the Data Protection Act Non-Compliance letters recorded on Monday. Recieved 1 more month of statements today. Better start getting my N1 form ready for the county court. Should I have contacted the Information Commissioner before I sent this letter.

Please help.

Certainly.

Also, have you looked at the Data Protection Act Non-Compliance information in the Bank Template Library.

I have filled in the N1 form and the Information Commissioners Office complaints form but I am still unsure as to the best route to take. Should I just use one or both at the same time.

I asume that once I have made a claim for the smaller amount that i cannot then make a claim for the rest at a later date.

I have ordered the Lawpack from your site to get everything right.

Evidence - £1868
Estimated another £3000

And I need the money.

There is no reason why you can't make a second claim for the remainder.

OK will go ahead with the small claim and then hit them with the second.

At least if I do it this way and I over estimate and they challenge they will have to provide my information, that was all on micro-fiche, to prove there case.

Here goes.
