Default Northern Ireland v Abbey

Hi all, I'm hoping someone might advise me. As far as charges go, do we claim for all or part charges i.e. anything after £12.00.
I'm currently claiming off Abbey. Received 12 months statements , 40 days up on 21/09/2006 , rang them and was told they actually have 80 days to comply, can anyone tell me is this true ??
I did receive a letter from them 21/09/2006, stating delay in investigation ,sorry for the delay and that they should let me know within another 4 weeks how they are getting on.Is this a joke ???
In the last 12 months I have worked out that I have been charged £957.00 I'm just not sure how or what to claim for.... Please help !!!

If you sent a S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) then they only have 40 Days in which to comply not 80 Days.

You should claim for the full amount of the charges not only above £12, The OFT stated that they would consider anything above £12 a penalty charge, they never said that this is the amount the Banks CC's could charge.

It is still the contention that it does not cost the Banks and CC companys £12 to administer accounts.

Hope this makes sense.

I'm sure someone will correct me should this be incorrect.

Paul

Paul , thanks for the help !

One last question, can I claim for all charges i.e. Returned cheques, clearing cheque whilst O/D, unauthorised O/D.

I have read as much of the site as time allows but as you are aware it is growing with a huge success and it does require alot of reading so I do appreciate any help given.

Best regards

1. Returned cheques, YES,
2. clearing cheque whilst O/D, YES,
3. unauthorised O/D. YES,

You can also reclaim the interest that they charged you whilst overdrawn because of the above charges.
You could also add Interest at the contractual rate (currently 28.7%) from the outset.
