Relevant filing system I really fail to understand the Judge who appears to believe Microfiche is not a relevant filing system. In the MOD, before computers became widespread, our stores system was held on microfiche. There were many millions of items, and were easily accessed.
The first fiche was the index, and all you had to do was put it into the reader, scroll down the alphabetical index and find the relevant reference number for all, say, " Ring, sealing, Toroidal". (Any other engineer would know this as an O-ring by the way).
The next step was to take the appropriate group fiche, place in the reader, locate the item, and press the print button.
Is the not exactly what you do in a computer?
