I assume you want help with something to do with what you put in post #8, but you've said "help" but haven't said what you want help with - what is your question? Maybe if you stated that somebody would be able to answer it.

from your letter it seems like you are confused over the closing date of your account ? Quote: | As your Bank Account was closed in 2000 with an outstanding balance, | Quote: |
Looking a the printouts they have sent the account was still "active ATM until 30/06/2009 - plus a closing balance dated 05/06/2003.
| I presume the 2009 is meant to be 2000 ?
They probably passed the balance of to the DCA 30/06/2000,thus closing your functioning account - and then considered it settled on 05/06/2003.
Does that help?
Also try and keep all your posts to one thread - posting question re your own case in other peoples threads won't get you advice relevant to your situation - you can use your thread like a diary too to help you. If your question goes unanswered for a few days or is very urgent then you can bump it (as you did yesterday) or send a PM to a site helper or Mod. |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Help a Tricky 1!! I am about to send off microfiche letter - as far as I can see from the skimpy statements they have sent me their closing date is 2003.
They have my opening date as 21/08/1998 - should I try for statements back to then?
The 2009 was the expiry date on their printout for ATM card - not a typing error, just info!!! Quote: |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Help a Tricky 1!! Sent off Microfiche letter to Sheena Small dated 24/07/06.
Came in from work & found another reply to my 1st Data Protection Act S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter (dated 15/07/06) from another person - this time it's a Pam Speed Business Manager - she tells me "we can however supply details of the transactions held on micr on payment of admin fee of £10.00..." "In order to avoid any additional delays, we will therefore use the £10 that you have sent with your Data Protection Act" NOW THEN - am I being passed from pillar to post or are they playing games with me?
Should I write to this 2nd person with copies of previous letters to Sheena Small & remind them of the clock ticking? |

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Help a Tricky 1!! Hi Poll, sorry i missed your earlier posts (tho I'm not a MOD or anything )
Basically you should write back to ABBEY and tell them you do not agree to them using your £10 fee as payment for copy statements you would like the information supplied as requested under the data protection act - modify the microfiche letter to suit.
basically you do this so that abbey are held in some way to the 40 days, else they will take well over 8 weeks to get copy statements to you. And if Abbey do go over the 40 days under the Data Protection Act request you can report them to the Information Commissioners Office, or claim under section 7 in court etc, to 'ecourage them to get your info to you. |
