| Re: Bank Smart and Abbey There is no reason for you to go to a company that charges you to reclaim the charges.
All the information you need is here. As well as all the help you need.
It is obvious they haven't done anything to follow your claim, so yes, get rid of them.
Does it say anything in the T&C's about a cancellation fee?
There is a few links in my signature which will help you. The step by step guide is the first thing you need to read.
As you are claiming hardship, we have the letters to send regarding that.
Do you have all the 6 years worth of statements?

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Bank Smart and Abbey thanks seasidelady
I have done it all on the phone with Abbey, being a hardship case its all sorted waiting for full refund in the next few days.
however this might be of info for others that may have gone to BankSmart
I contacted them a year ago and filled in their forms Sept last year, they did not contact Abbey till Sept this year sending in a request for the account info - now here is where the alarm bells rang, I get a letter from them saying Abbey returned their request as it was "6 months out of date" and they send me a letter a week ago asking me to sign a new form !
when I went on their site to send a message to basically tell them to offffff out of it, I find a statement of what they say Abbey now owe me , that they have calculated it etc etc , which is 2-3 time what i have actually paid over the 6 years strange, also copy of 2 letters they claim they had from Abbey regarding the proccess on our account, BUT the letter's could have refered to any Account, all the account info have been removed.
Abbey have a copy of all that and are concerned about their claims and the fact they say Abbey did give them the info about our account, its now being investigate by Abbey for fraud/deception etc etc,
cant post the bits yet as not enough posts,
But the warning to anyone that has gone to BANKSMART check out anything they tell you with your bank |
