Hi people, ive been lurking for a while, reading about other peoples crusades to get their money and charges back and i have taken great comfort from the fact that it actually seems to be possible that the little people (figuratively speaking)

can take a stand against the "big" banks and claim back what is rightfully theirs.
I am now ready to get started with my claim for charges levied against my account, I am going to give some background info to try to find out exactly the best course of action to take, so I appologise if im a bit long winded but here we go.... I split with my long term partner last Feb, and so am in receipt on income support, child benefit and child tax credits, prior to Feb 07 i did not receive any benefits or other source of income due to ex's large salary, so as i understand it i can only claim from Feb 07????
I have ALL my bank statements from when i opened my account 4 years ago so do i need to S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) them first or can i compile my list of charges from the statements i have??????
Which letter do i post to the bank????
"how to get your charges back whilst on benefits, or do i notify the bank that i consider myself to be suffering from hardship and post this one "
Letter for an application for consideration for hardship"
( i have highlighted these because when i tried to preview post i was told i cant insert links until i have made 5 or more posts ) but they are all templates from here!!
I understand that i should include an income and expenditure sheet, documentary evidence of hardship i.e gas bills council tax arrears letter etc etc etc and a spreadsheet showing charges and interest applied for ( ill post about that one later asking for advice on how to complete)

:con fused:
Ok lastly where do i post letter to???? from what i have read im planning on posting to head of customer complaints, Richard Harris ( I think) or do i send both this person and my local branch??
If some of you lovelly people could let me know where to start and which letter i should do (if not both of them) i would be really gratefull. many many thanks in advance.
