Default Whats the position on paying back overpayments from abbey ?
My girlfriend tried working short while for the abbey's call centre, but didnt like it and left this year. She got a letter from the abbey saying they had overpaid her last wage cheque by £145, and that this was moving to legal action for recovery.

Whats her position. If they make a mistake, does she have to repay them ? Considering how much they have screwed out me on charges i am loathed to have her pay them back anything she does not legally have to.

It is expected that should a company overpay an employee they are entitled to request repayment.
Have they supplied proof, or your girlfriend demanded proof that in fact there was an overpayment.
