Default please some help abbey
I believe we may have a have case against abbey mortgages. Trouble is we signed up for the ppi with our mortgage year 2000 for 3 to 4 years before we remortgaged again. Is this too far back to demand a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act as i have no docs or proof etc

any advise much appreciated

I think your name and the address when you had the account and your new address would be enough. The data protection act refers to you, your name and address not necessarily an account number. In any event I'm sure they can search their data base on several parameters not just the account number.
