This is my first thread post, so please excuse me for waffling.
I have an Abbey bank account, which is solely funded by benefits. Now i appreciate that the OFT test case allows them to stay my case for a refund of bankers charges (over £3000 worth). But according to the social security administration act they were never legally entitled to this money. I have argued this with them, but they are less than co-operative, anyhow... if they take money from me, which in itself breaks the law then does that mean that i am entitled to report them to the police for theft, or for obtaining a money transfer by deception? or something along those lines.
I have applied for the funds to be reassessed on the grounds of hardship, and tried to find Abbey's better nature to appeal to it, but i am bashing my head against a brick wall..... Any ideas welcome
