Abbey Direct Debits I have just received two letter saying Abbey will be taking charges from my account for 2 failed direct debtis.... strangely these same two direct debits I asked them to cancel at the beginning of August in branch, and phoned to confirm they had been cancelled....
On phoning to ask them why and why they want to charge me, they have now told me my complaint is on hold as I mentioned bank charges - arghhh! Why are Abbey so Rubbish?! Does this not break the Direct Debit Guarantee? Is the complaint really a bank charge one or a "not doing what I asked one"?
