HI Kia

You could phone them and ask them not to take the charges ~ I've tried this before and they've returned one or two but not all of the charges.

This might help! (a little bit!)

Kia, I have tried countless times to try and find out how the OFT can rule that a) Banks are allowed to put a halt on processing our complaints.
b) Keep us waiting until the outcome of the test case
c) Still allowed to apply the very same charges that we are disputing.

And to date...Still havent got a reasonable answer.

They simply reply time and time again referring to the press release garbage

Why not get a Nat West Step account, you can have standing orders and direct debits paid from this and they do online banking. I stopped all my DDs after money was 'inappropriately' withdrawn 10 days before it was due over Xmas, caused a lot of stress and fuss and since then no charges, no hassle and paying everything online is much easier. Oaky you do get the odd £5 'non payment by dd' charge but they should hopefully soon be deemed illegal, they are in Ireland....
