| Re: Is this just delaying tactics Hi MrsC, well do you now have the account number? it sounds such a shambles, I think that I would be tempted to start again, but saying that, they should have been able to find an account number with your name and address. I would see where you can get by emailing sheena.small@abbey.com, telling her your story, I will be very interested to see what she comes back with, if they dont accept the cheque for whatever reason, that is there problem (unbless the cheque is wrong, obviously!) |

Received statements today they only go back to 08/01 and in the attached letter it state's "Historical information can only be retained if there is a legitimate reason for processing the data in accordance with the rights of an individual. Therefore, due to the time elapsed, some of the original account records have been destroyed in line with our retentions policy.
Is this the same for everyone else or has anybody got statements going further back than this ?
Had a quick look and on one day alone there is 7x £10 cleared transaction charges |

| Re: Is this just delaying tactics Hiya, yes it is the same for everyone, there seems no way that we can squeeze more information out of them past 6 years, they must be so busy destroying all that data! |
