All I want is to be acknowledged - no automated replies, no well - trained and well versed customer service reps who are just doing their jobs, but someone at Abbey who cares about their business and their customers to get off their backside and improve their service - IT IS OUR MONEY THEY ARE INVESTING THAT MAKES THEM RICH!!!

Couldnt agree more, the first step for a better customer service would be to have the call centres back in this country or at least back in the British Isles

ABNT AND Lula ..... I'm with you both here ..... Not to decry the people in India but sometimes it's so hard top understand what they're saying, their accent is so pronounced .... plus as you say ,,, they follow the script and don't seem to be able to deviate and make any decisions. Ask for a supervisor and they read from the script as well.

Maybe .... thought I'm not holding my breath ... their experiences with the consumer revolution will perks their ideas up a bit .... if not, vote with your money and move banks.

I work for Abbey. Im not surprised at the trouble you are having. Myself and my colleagues are at our wits end with the way we have to do things. The Indian call centre contract was supposed to have ended in May and we were told that it was being moved back to the UK.

Im not sure if this right section to vent my anger as an employee but there are so many things that are wrong and they prevent us from doing a proper job. As a member of staff im disgusted with the way the customer is treated and that there is little we can do. It is not the staffs fault that we cant serve the customer in the manner they deserve as we are not given the right tools to do the job.
