Am i going to be charged for my overdraft?

Hi there,

I paid for something over the weekend, which will take me over my authorised overdraft limit. I will be taking the cash to pay for the item down the bank to be put into my account on monday.

If the money has already been taken out that morning, will i still have to pay the fees? or as the money will be put in the same day will i be ok?

Hi Lewis

I believe that you will be ok so long as the money goes in on the same day as it goes out!! I've certainly had the same situation in the past and not been charged.

Good Luck Lewis, cards usually take a few days to go through, but if the cash is deposited then it becomes instantly available. Hope it works for you

Hi there,

I got the cash in before the money was taken out of my bank - so i never went over my agreed overdraft afterall.

If someone is reading in a similar situation - if you can, definately pay with cash as soon as you can.
