| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Advice Please - Abbey Tatics Hi
I did have a look at your post earlier, but I am not really qualified to answer. I am disgusted with their heavy-handed approach, but not shocked, considering banks in general at the moment seem to have the monopoly on dirty tricks.
This is the best I can come up with for you: Mooshy V LloydsTSB
That might help a bit I hope.
Sorry I can't do more, and I hope you get something resolved.
Best regards

| | Platinum Account Customer | Re: Advice Please - Abbey Tatics Hi drob, all you can really do it open another account elsewhere and place your shAbbey account in dispute, offer to make affordable repayments and dont them them bully you, PUT IT ALL IN WRITING!!!
the trouble is, that they are declining to look at complaints re bank charges until after the test case, so your case could take months to look at, they will bully you but dont cave, they will also probably lodge a default against you with a CRA but when you eventually get settlement you can have the default removed as part of your terms of settlement, but make sure that you include this in your Particulars of Claim, in the meantime, start your spreadsheet and as they keep piling on the charges, then keep adding them to your spreadsheet,
Continue with your letters to them and file at court as per usual, i think it will be important to have started correspondence with them and perhaps even filed at court by the time the test case is over.
Hope this helps

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Advice Please - Abbey Tatics just my opinion, but.... i reckon you should carry on making your payments to them as usual and then at least you can boost your new bank account when you finally receive your money!
seriously, although you are taking them to court, you don't want to complicate matters by holding payment back and then suddenly have to pay it all off.
don't know if i am explaining myself as i mean to but basically i am having a similar thing with my credit card people; i owe them roughly the same amount on my account that i am claiming for at the moment and am tempted to leave it until they pay out, but by then there will be interest and charges and whatnot, so i'm just going to pay as normal and then i'll have a nice little check in a few weeks' time!
best of luck btw
