Default Hi to All - need a little help with Shabby Abbey!

Hi to all, i have reached the stage before Court Action, but in light of the recent announcement I am unsure as to what to do next? Received letter from Abbey today just what i needed as i walked through my door The letter stated that they have now carried out a full investigation......unders tand that i would likemy charges refunded....although charges were correct as a gesture of goodwill they are happy to refund £40.00. A cheeque will be sent out to Debt Mgt Team to put towards outstanding bal..The OFT announcement was in relation to Credit Card default charges and not other types of accounts such as Bank Accounts........They will keep file open for 8 wks then close it... i can complain again....if unhappy refer complaint to FOS..... What do i do now?? Sorry for this but i just want to get my money back £3700

Annasor, you should proceed with your claim as normal. Send a letter rejecting their offer if you haven't received an offer from Abbey to refund your charges in full - then proceed to file N1 at your local county court to continue the process of recovering your charges.

Best of luck
