Hi welcome to the forums.
CAUTION: Before you send ANY letters please have a good read around the forums - particularly the FAQs and threads in Abbey and the Guidance Notes. You need to understnad the process that you are embarking on, such that:
you will know that you can send the initial letter to your branch (it will get forwarded to the correct department by internal mail),
that all charges are unlawful in relation to returned cheques, direct debits, unpaid items, standing orders etc.
that interest is a complicated bugger that really needs reading about - but that there exists authorised interest fees (legitimate, cannot be reclaimed) and unauthorised (usually at a higher APR) and can be reclaimed on the balance that was made up by charges - orany balance if it was a charge that took you over your limit such that you were accruing the unauthorised interest APR. Plus the interest that you can claim at 8% APR pursuant to the County Courts Act should your claim reach court...
If I have given you some food for thought then go get eating!
Good luck..
