quick question re N1 form

The claimant claims interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at the rate of 8% a year, from 2003 to 2007 of £ 304.56 and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgment or earlier payment at a daily rate of ???

Any ideas what this should be? Should it be a set amount that everyone is using or is it dependent on the amount you are claiming...?

Hi feater

No, it is a fixed calculation:

Total of your charges + o/d interest** if you are claiming it x 0.00022

This will give you your daily rate in pence, or pounds if you are lucky!

**Do not include the stat interest in the calculation.

Thank you. Think mine works out to 67p per day.

That sounds a bit high....my charges goin back to 2001 are £1200,interest is £300....daily rate works out at 26p day

No, 26p is exactly right for £1,200 of charges.

It all depends on the amount of the total charges - mine are over £6K, so my rate is £1.37 a day (whoopee!)

And feater is only claiming from 2003, so you cannot gauge by the level of interest alone.
