| | Basic Account Customer | Taking Shabbey on once again!!!! If anyone could offer any advice I would be really grateful. Last year I started claiming my charges back from Abbey, round about christmas time I got as far as the court stage, Abbey refunded half my bank charges back on the understanding it was in full and final settlement, I wrote back and said would accept the money only in part payment, and would continue the court process to claim the rest of my charges back. However, the last six months have been really hellish for me to due family circumstances, and my fight to claim my charges back, has taken a back seat, although I am ready to take on banks again now, having just recieved this months statement telling me I am being charged 55 pounds on the 19th of July, which will probably go unpaid as I wont have the funds in my account to cover it, as I am not working at the moment. What I really want to know is, will I have to start the claims process all over again??? or can I pick up from where I left off, and is there anyway between now and when my bank charge goes out, I can stop them taking my money out!!! Any Advice would be more than appreciated cos I am at my wits end now. |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Taking Shabbey on once again!!!! Thanks Lula for that advice, just been on the phone to Shabbey, in regards to the outstanding charge that is due to go from my account tomorrow, recorded details of time, who I spoke to etc etc (for further reference should I need it). The Person who I spoke to told me that because I had some charges reversed in october of last year, that I wouldnt be eligable to have any more charges reversed for 12 months, and if I had any problems, that I should speak to shabbeys debt management department, who wouldnt be able to help me until the latest charge of 55 pounds came out of my account tomorrow. I also explained to her that the charges were unjust, to which she replied that "She couldnt really comment, as there had been no formal ruling to say that the bank charges are unlawful" - who is this woman trying to kid? Fobbed off yet again! so I came away with the direct phone number to the banks debt departement, I have a hospital appointment on Monday, with money that is going into my account on Friday of this week, which I need to get me to the hospital on Monday, and as it is too late for me to send a "Right of Appropriation", can anyone advise me of how I should handle things from here, because I will be phoning Shabbeys debt management dept tomorrow, to see if anything can be resolved. Any advice is always gratefully appreciated |

| | Classic Account Customer | Re: Taking Shabbey on once again!!!! Hello Electricechogirlie,
well done sticking to your guns, have you put in a N1 claim form with the list of charges and 8% interest yet?
Also just checking you kept a copy of the letter you sent to Abbey saying you would accept the offer as only part of the full claim? You may need to present to the court at some point.
Best Wishes
