Default Abbey Response

Hi all,

I have just recieved a letter from abbey saying they have looked into my claim and because of the way I have conducted my bank account in the past they will not pay and offer me a good will gesture of around £40. To top is off, I reluctantly paid my overdraft off in full last month and another £25 charge has appered. This seems to be a result of being over drawn halfway through the month, automatic charges being added and a computer generated letter being sent out.
I am now really cheesed off and want to make sure I am still with in my rights to proceed with court action..

I will draft up the letter and wait for a reply.

Yes, you are entitled to claim, it is your money that they wrongfully took.

Have a look at the rejection letters in the bank template library to see which is most appropriate to you.

If you havent already filed your n1 claim and you accept the gogw as part settlement, take this off your schedule of charges by putting in the date the money went in with a -£40.00 at the end of the scheduel, this will still allow you to get the maximum interest due for when it reaches the N1 claim stage.
